Refreshing the Brand of Cayman’s National Beer.
Caybrew is the Cayman Islands’ national beer, an icon of local pride and quality brewing. It embodies the island lifestyle — refreshing, premium, and always best enjoyed under the sun. However, over time, as new beers were introduced with new brand marks, the identity had become diluted, making it harder for customers to navigate.

Caybrew needed a refreshed identity to reinforce its premium quality, deep local roots, and stand out in a competitive market with global brands dominating shelf space. It was this challenge of balancing authenticity with a contemporary edge that drove Big Panda’s approach to Caybrew’s brand transformation. We kicked off with an extensive audit of the brand to understand where the difficulties were. It soon became clear that Caybrew faced a whole host of growing pains across its local touchpoints. Adding new formats and SKUs over time had eroded the identity, leading to inconsistencies with multiple brand marks and treatments in play, and no real clarity on what the ‘master’ brand should look like. To resolve this, Big Panda consolidated the various versions of the brand mark to create one simple, consistent brand imprint that is proudly and instantly recognisable as Caybrew. The resulting brand system is stripped down and more legible, while also flexible allowing for adaptability across the range of beers. By incorporating punchy individual flair, each brew can stand on it's own, but Caybrew is still clearly and recognizably the master brand. With a clear product architecture, the brand became easier to spot and the beers easier to shop, while still celebrating the unique personalities of each beer flavor. The design is now unified across multipacks and all other key sales formats, ensuring better recognition and stronger shelf presence. A Fresh Pour for the Future Caybrew’s refined identity reaffirms its position as Cayman’s true national beer, ensuring a bold, cohesive presence in a crowded market. The new design system future-proofs the brand, allowing for clear expansion while maintaining consistency. By striking the perfect balance between heritage and modernity, Caybrew is now well-positioned to engage the next generation of beer lovers while remaining a proud icon of Caymanian culture.
