The Agency | Brand Identity

The new Agency identity highlights the ambitions of this newly formed boutique recruitment firm. The wordmark has a bold, monumental quality that conveys the company’s position. The name is set in a custom typeface, a classic serif font with a modern, sharp, punchy feel. The identity appears in striking yellow inspired by the brilliance of the Cayman sunshine, and the logotype is anchored at its center by symmetry that reinforces the company’s expertise.

The distinctive mark has been adapted from the backslash symbol, a notation used universally as a mechanism for joining alternatives. The “\” represents The Agency’s disruptive approach by breaking trends to discover new connections.

In addition to designing the logotype, Big Panda developed a comprehensive identity system that makes the look of the firm’s communications contemporary, bold, and consistent. A significant portion of the project was the design of style guides for the full range of documents, reports, and proposals that The Agency produces.

Accompanying the launch of the brand was a launch video aimed at humanising the zealous visual language. Close up frames of expressionless faces burst into smiles playing on the human emotions of intrigue, fear, and ultimately trust – the feelings we all have when starting a new job.
